MainStage:
Dear Edwina
Dear Edwina is a heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up, from the creators of Junie B. Jones, The Musical. The show's heroine, Edwina Spoonapple, is an advice-giver extraordinaire, like a spunky, singing version of Dear Abby. Told through a show-within-a-show format, Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends through clever, catchy and poignant songs. It's "Glee" for kids.
Juniors:
The Drum
All children have dreams, just like Jordan’s dream of one day having a drum.
Watch as generosity helps everyone’s dreams come true! Starting with just a
stick, Jordan’s day becomes quite magical. This is charming new mini-musical
(based on a wonderful folk tale from India) written especially for children.
This summer's shows at St. Louis Park
MainStage:
Bebop with Aesop
Asop's unforgettable fables stimulate our imaginations and dramatize the
many lessons and values that we can learn from them. Through fun-to-perform
dialogue and rock 'n' roll-styled music, this musical collection of Aesop's
entertaining stories afford ample opportunity to explore behaviors and
attitudes in a fun and creative way!
Juniors:
Hats
Hats of all shapes and sizes take over the stage when
a group of milliners help Hatless Frank find the perfect hat. Clever rhyming
script and song writing explore all kinds of hats, their uses and the people
who wear them. A surprise awaits the audience when Ima Milliner appears in
her own remarkable hat of all hats. Discover that it's not the hat that
makes a person special, but what's underneath!
